Successful Winter Programs Hope you had a chance to attend two very successful winter programs at the Dean House. On Feb. 14th Margo Redmond displayed her collection of antique Valentines in the Parlor and on March 21st Bob Birmingham gave a slide talk on Indian effigy mounds based on his new book Spirits of Earth: The effigy Mound Landscape of Madison and the Four Lakes. The book is available in bookstores and through the University of Wisconsin Press web site for $24.95. |
Bill Podell driving Pearless with Bob Bean, Gary Hess and Don Wentlend riding along in 2008 Memorial Day Parade |
| Memorial Day Parade
Once again HBGHS will have a "float" in the Memorial Day Parade and coffee and sweet rolls for sale from the front porch. The Lichtfelds have offered to drive their Peerless automobiles with HBGHS members, in costume, riding along. Visit the front porch for a cup of coffee before the parade and wave to us as we go by! |
