| Annual Meeting, May 3rd |
On Sunday May 3rd at 3 pm HBGHS will conduct a roundtable discussion of aviation in Blooming Grove following the annual meeting at 2:30. You and area aviation enthusiasts are invited to talk about the Royal Airport/Pennco Field (located where South Towne is today). Howard Morey operated the field in the 1920s. Charles Lindberg landed at that field on Aug. 22, 1927. Please come and share your memories and photos of the early days of aviation in Blooming Grove and Madison. What questions do you have about these interesting topics?

| Garage Sale |
We are having a garage sale at the Dean House on May 15 and 16, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., the same days as the City of Monona Garage Sale. We have not done this type of fund-raiser for several years, and decided it was time to do it! You can help us out by donating your unwanted items. The only thing is—we DO NOT want clothing, shoes, TV’s or large pieces of furniture. So, while you are doing your Spring cleaning—keep us in mind. You can drop off your items at the Dean House, on the Back Porch (open the screen door to the porch) beginning on Monday, May 11. If you need help in getting your items to the Dean House, we might be able to help you. If you have any questions, please call Gloria Simley at 222-3859. |
